Your employer should obviously pay you correctly and on time. Any breach of this requirement would be deemed to be an unlawful deduction of wages.

There are however strict time limits for bringing a claim in the Employment Tribunal. There is a 3-month minus 1 day deadline to notify ACAS. There are rather more generous time limits available in the County Court however Tribunal proceedings are often preferable and certainly can be less costly.
